hitting them does not make them vanish,īut turns them back to their vagrant state instead.they move slower than regular greedlings.attacking and infecting other townspeople.bumping the walls (albeit more quickly and in a swarm). However if the Crown is retrieved, the Monarch is healed, reverting to their original human form.Īlthough greed-citizens have a distinct appearance, they behave as regular greedlings: Īs usual, if the Crown is stolen by a greedling or a crown stealer, after a couple of seconds the challenge is over. Monarchs that lose the Crown are immediately infected, and transformed into a greed Monarch. It can be the infection of a couple, of a dozen, or the collapse of an entire side of the Kingdom. Monarchs on the other side of the land, for example, will know that something bad is happening, but they will never know how bad it is, until they go check with their own eyes. If more than one citizen gets infected in a short length of time, the sound only plays once. The sound is similar to the one that plays on the loading screen of the challenge. When a citizen gets infected, any coin or tools they have are immediately destroyed during the conversion, and a strange sound can be heard, regardless of the distance between the Monarch and the infected subject. All sources of damage on this island (including monsters, thrown back boulders, cliff portals tentacles, and, during winter, the boar ) have the potential to infect any Kingdom subject they touch, instantly transforming them into greed-citizens.
